Spring 2018 Trip: Day 46 - Here Comes the Rain Again

Taking a break today because it's looking like it's going to rain. While the weather is getting warmer, it's heading back into electric blanket weather every night for the foreseeable future. It doesn't seem that the winter is going quietly.

Not only is it not going gently, it's being particularly nasty about it, causing some flash flood warnings and hazards. Right now we're under an advisory, but nothing serious unlike 40 miles away. I think after today the rain won't be an issue, but the cold weather might be.

But if the rain wasn't enough, soon the power went out. We were able to use the house battery to light the RV, but the window for power restoration is from 7PM to Noon tomorrow.

Then our phones started vibrating, a tornado warning in the area. Red lights flashed from outside as a rescue vehicle followed by a fire engine parked a few RV spots away. Water began to seep in through windows and we put towels to staunch the flooding. It's been a while since we've had rain quite this hard.
Eventually, the rain ceased and the warnings abated. The power was restored and we recharged all our lovely items. Hmm, maybe it's time to get a NOAA radar for just such potential emergencies.
