Park #6: Chippokes Plantation State Park: March 31-April 4, 2018

Park number 6 was due to not being able to get accommodations from a campground from another location. So we tried a state park instead!

Chippokes Plantation State Park is a really nice location for RVers and tenters, provided you have the ability to level your RV and don't need a sewer connection.

Driving in on Saturday, March 31st, we were able to select our spot from Loop A. We tried finding the most level spot, but in a natural setting like this you might have a tough time of doing so. We managed to get the left and right level but front and back was a bit uneven, causing the bathroom door to swing open.

Chippokes Plantation State Park is close to Bacon's Castle (which we didn't visit) and Yorktown and Jamestown (which we did visit). Food and supplies are a bit of a drive, but nothing too bad and is the norm with most State Parks. There were plenty of kids around so I'm assuming it's a fairly family friendly place as well.
